Shin (シン) is a player in NewWorld Online and a supporting character in the BOFURI series. He is a member of the Kingdom of the Flame Emperor guild[1] and ranked seventh in the 1st event. He earned the title Destructor.[2][3]
Description[]
He is an adult male with black hair and black eyes. His hair is medium length, neither long nor short. His body follows the general standard for men of his age.[1]
The best description of him is the King of Ordinary or Villager A.[1] Although he's a strong enough player to earn the title Destructor, he is ordinary compared to the other people who stand out by leaps and bounds.
Personality[]
Shin is very friendly with his guild mates and the people of Maple Tree. He also has a rivalry with Kasumi after the First Event.
Plot[]
Guild Competition Arc[]
On the second day of the 4th event, Kasumi ran into Shin. After losing during the 1st event, Shin was excited to show off his growth in the revenge match fate had given him. Although he lost once again, Kasumi was in a vulnerable state for a short duration after her killing blow.[4]
During the chaos when his guild was under siege, word of Maple's likely arrival pushed Shin to fight aggressively in an attempt to thin the enemy's numbers.[5]
Shin was friends listed by Maple after the guild competition event and attended the Maple Tree after party.[6]
Companions Arc[]
Shin, Marx, and Misery stumbled upon Maple as she was leveling up Syrup. After spotting some changes to Syrup, they decided to show off their pets. Shin's pet was a hawk/falcon (English TL lists it as an Eagle).[7]
Eighth Event Arc[]
Shin and Kasumi teamed up during the main event's second day and needed to clear a dungeon. Once Mii found them, they helped find everyone else.[8] Shin went with Drag, Chrome and Kasumi to the desert where they found a dungeon. There they took down a Ruby Cobra and Crystal Scorpion. On the third day, the three guilds took down Cthulhu together.

His combat style utilizes his special skill Destructor and a shield.
Active Skills[]
- Destructor[3] (崩剣, alt. Split-Sword[9]): A skill that causes the user's weapon to crumble to pieces before floating in the air and turning into ten separate miniature duplicates of the original. The user controls the floating duplicates. The skill can be used again while active to shrink further and duplicate them into 20 floating duplicates.
