Frederica (フレデリカ) is a player in NewWorld Online and a supporting character in the BOFURI series. She is a member of the Congregation of the Holy Swords guild.[1]
She is a girl with a small chest, red eyes, and blond hair in a ponytail.[1] Her appearance is similar to a cat in some cases.
Personality[]
In the anime, she tells Maple where she can encounter monsters.
Her pride leads her to misunderstand that strong people are like celebrities. Because of this, she looks down on those not well-known.[2]
Plot[]
Guild Founding Arc[]
Shortly after the 4th event was announced, the Congregation of the Holy Swords held a meeting to discuss the upcoming event. Because Frederica's pride clouded her judgment, Payne sent her to spy on Maple Tree.[3][4]
Frederica was spotted while spying and challenged to a duel by Sally. In an attempt to turn Maple Tree against the Kingdom of the Flame Emperor, she offered intelligence on them regardless of her victory. Although she gave up early to hide her skills, she acquired false information about Sally.[2][5]
Guild Competition Arc[]
Because of their lacking mobility, Drag and Frederica were left to defend their base. Between Drag's aggressive assault and Frederica's wide range of attacks, their orb was kept safe.[6][5]
When they believe Sally to be tired, Frederica and many members of the Congregation of the Holy Swords encircle Sally in an attempt to kill her and acquire the orbs she is carrying. Although they successfully cornered Sally, the ability she revealed shocked Frederica. As they are about to kill Sally, Maple shows up and rescues her. Since Maple left Maple Tree's base, Frederica sent Dred to steal their orb.[7][8]
Payne, Dred, Drag, Frederica, and fifteen other members from the Congregation of the Holy Swords worked together to attack Maple Tree because they believed its members had exhausted all their powerful skills.[9][10]
Frederica worked together to keep the members of Maple Tree from supporting Maple. Frederica played a support role as she accelerated her guild members' movement and transferred Dred and Drag's buffs to Payne with [Multi-Full Transfer]. After Maple unleashed [Atrocity], Frederica attempted to retreat. On her way out, she put up a [Multi-Wall] to block Mai and Yui's attacks without thinking and was swiftly defeated.[9]
During the chaotic battle at the Kingdom of the Flame Emperor, the Congregation of the Holy Swords planned to take advantage of Maple who had gained the aggro of players assaulting the Kingdom of the Flame Emperor. Their ambush was thwarted as Maple swiftly used [Atrocity] and was multiplied to 7 with Kanade and Sally's [Phantom World!].[11]
Frederica was friends listed by Maple after the guild competition event and attended the Maple Tree after-party.[12]
Rulership Arc[]
Sometime after information about the [Dewdrop of Heaven] was spread, Frederica appeared to challenge Sally to a duel as she was working to level up her access permit. Frederica pushed Sally to let her help so they could duel afterward. During the duel that followed, Frederica got a hit in and thought she had won, only to be forced to accept the reality that Sally had once again become more powerful.[13]
While leading members from the Congregation of the Holy Swords to the next layer, she passed by Maple, who was left alone on the 4th layer because of her school tests. Frederica accepted Maple's request to join them in exchange for her defensive field. Frederica and company were having trouble with the boss, so Maple unleashed [Pandemonium I], and her oni quickly defeated the speedy fox. Frederica and the other members were shocked as they moved to the next layer. After Maple left, they discussed how Maple could've gotten such skill, and only the white oni came to their minds.[14]
Companions Arc[]
Frederica came over to Maple Tree to show off her new pet to Sally and was met with resistance. When Sally agreed to a duel, Frederica was swiftly defeated and forced to accept the gap between their skills. Afterward, Frederica continued to feel resistance as she revealed her pet, a small yellow bird named Knots. Frederica said she found Sally's averse reaction cute and hoped to continue getting along as rivals.[15]
Eighth Event Arc[]
Frederica passed the preliminary round without much trouble. During the main event, she was seperated from her guild and ran into Sally. They teamed up until they found most of thier guild. She then became part of the three guild alliance. She then joined Sally, Mii and Maple to take down a Demon Queen boss that they called a fake Maple and took it down. On the third day, the three guilds took down Cthulhu together.

When Maple first logged into NewWorld Online, Frederica was the bystander Maple first called out to. She directed Maple to the beginner forest and proceeded to talk with Drag and Payne.[16]

- Multi-Light Bullets:[18] Many magic circles surround the user and shoot light bullets at the target.

- Multi-Acceleration:[19] Raise the speed of all your allies.
- Magic Wall:[19] Creates a wall that prevents vision.
- Multi-Full Transfer: (alt. Multi-Teleport[10])[19] Transfer all effects from specified allies(?) to a target player. (An example is when she transferred Godspeed and Berserk from Dread and Drag to Payne.)
